AHS and Team Ayu member angel ayumi leaked the covers for Ayu’s forthcoming album Rock n’ Roll Circus. Still not tracklisting, but this looks like a great start:

Rock n’ Roll Circus is slated for release in Japan April 14th, 2010.

New Album, Tour DVD and Boxset!

Full tracklistings are not available yet, but the official site has announced the new album Rock’n’Roll Circus as well as the NEXT LEVEL tour finally coming to DVD. Still no blu-ray, but still exciting!

The album will be available in the usual CD and CD+DVD packages with 14 tracks and two new PVs (in addition to the singles). The tour will come on 3 DVDs, and CD+DVD AND the NEXT LEVEL tour will be available in a special boxset (the tour will also be sold separately, of course).

Both will be released April 14th, 2010.

Two New Songs & 2010 Tour Updates

In the last week, previews for two new songs have made their way onto the internet.

Panasonic unveiled the newest TV ad featuring Ayu on their website. The latest campaign was initially announced last month, and now there’s a new song to go with it: “Don’t Look Back”. It can be seen on Pansonic’s website (look for the thumbnail in the bottom right corner)

Surprisingly, a Honda commercial–identical to the one that featured “Sparkle” last year–leaked onto Youtube allegedly featuring a new song: “Microphone.”

Both new tracks are decidedly not rock songs, which might be surprisingly considering the official site announced yesterday that the 2010 Arena tour is formally titled “ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2010 ～Rock’n’Roll Circus～.” The tour kicks off this April, but will a like-titled album come first?

New CM and Music On The Way

While I may be late reporting it on Ayu-Vogue, news definitely hasn’t been slow for Ayu fans: in the last week Ayu has traveled across the world to make new music and film a music video, and she was nice enough to meet with her international fans while she was there. Back at home, Panasonic unveiled the latest campaign with her image–where there’s a new Panasonic CM, a new single (or album) is always soon to follow. With her annual arena tour kicking off in a few months, we might have another NEXT LEVEL–link release schedule on the horizon.

Wrapping up 2010 with a bang, Ayu’s official site has updated to unveil her official Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ayu! The channel already lists all of her PVs–everything from “poker face” to her latest single’s “BALLAD” and “You were…”

In completely unrelated news, I also noticed this week that & is randomly featured on US iTunes’ “World Music” landing page. Wonder why they didn’t choose to do something more recent?

US iTunes was updated this week with Ayu’s single Sunrise/Sunset~LOVE is ALL~. It’s actually listed on a different artist page than the other 61 albums and singles she has available in the US.

Ayu’s official site now provides time and ticket information for her annual New Years concert series, COUNTDOWN LIVE 2009–2010 A ~FUTURE CLASSICS~.

Additionally, the site has a whole new look to promote Ayu’s upcoming single You were…/BALLAD (December 29th).

Last night Avex revealed the beautiful cover art for Ayu’s new single as well as two high-profile tie-ins: an NHK television drama and a Disney animated film. Ayu-Vogue Revamp!

The Ayu-Vogue Network has a brand-new look and back-end to make updating as easy as possible. Unfortunately, the transition has been rushed a little more than I would have like, so please excuse the mess. If you’d like to help Ayu-Vogue get back into shape, please consider reporting broken links and images using the contact form.

The album, single, and DVD parts of the discography are back online and up-to-date; collectibles and other releases will be added throughout 2010, and hopefully pagination will be brought back as a feature by January.

New Winter Single Announced!

Ayu’s official site has updated with a new single announcement, You were…/BALLAD. The new single will be available in three formats: two CD+DVD sets and a CD-only version. Each version will have a different combination of b-sides and video clips.

The single is due for release December 16th. It will be added to the Ayu-Vogue discography this weekend along with the new layout.
