Ayumi Hamasaki has lead an amaz­ing career since her 1998 debut. Ayu has set her sights on the global stage with dig­i­tal releases around the world, and she’s keep­ing core fans happy with a spe­cial boxset to cel­e­brate 10 years of mak­ing Japan­ese pop his­tory. Albums

The heart and soul of Ayu’s career, the amaz­ing albums chock full of orig­i­nal mate­r­ial. This sec­tion con­tains a com­plete list of all of the albums released under the Ayumi Hamasaki name with her Avex label, includ­ing orig­i­nal albums, remix col­lec­tions, and “Best”/single col­lec­tions. A true diva, Ayu con­stantly re-invents her­self with every release, mak­ing col­lect­ing her work a real treat.

Sin­gles

No one releases sin­gles as con­sis­tently as Ayumi Hamasaki. With a career stretch­ing back to 1998 (when sin­gles were still issued on mini-discs!), Ayu has released over 40 sin­gles, mak­ing her the best sell­ing solo artist and female artist in the his­tory of Japan’s music industry.

Although Japan still has a CD sin­gle mar­ket, some artists have begun releas­ing spe­cial digital-exclusive sin­gles. Ayu releases most of her sin­gles in both for­mats, digital-exclusives are still a pos­si­bil­ity in the future.

DVD/VCD/VHS

Known for her epic tours and exten­sive library of pro­mo­tional videos, much of Ayumi Hamasaki’s career has been cap­tured on video.

Other Releases

As one of the biggest artists in Asia, Ayu’s work has been released out­side of her native Japan–even in Europe under the name “Ayu”. Addi­tion­ally, while head­lin­ing her own tour of Asian are­nas, Ayu par­takes in man­age­ment com­pany Avex’s annual sum­mer con­cert series, a-nation. These are not listed in her offi­cial dis­co­ra­phy but are nonethe­less offi­cial music products.
