GREEN/Days News Overload!

Ayu’s official site has been overhauled to promote Ayu’s upcoming two-part singles GREEN/Days and Days/GREEN. In doing so, it unveiled the beautiful new covers for the single as well as the preview for the “Days” PV.

Ayu to publish book; “Days” used in new campaign

In addition to her frequent, fanclub-only blog posts, Ayu writes a monthly diary for Japanese fashion magazine Vivi. These diaries are colorful, picture-heavy, multi-page spreads detailing her latest endeavors (I have since decided not to scan them monthly, but you can see some older samples in the gallery) In honor of her 100th issue, the publisher announced that her entries will be published in a separate book. More details will hopefully come soon.
Additionally, it was announced on the official site that “Days” will be used to promote the new online music service MUSICO.JP.

PREMIUM COUNTDOWN LIVE Schedule

Ayu’s official site had updated with the official dates for Ayu’s monstrous New Years concert. The concert will be held in the Yoyogi National Stadium for two nights only, December 30th and 31st. Times and ticket information are available at the official site.

COUNTDOWN LIVE 2008–2009 Will Be Epic

Ayu has been updating her TeamAyu blog as she develops this year’s special COUNTDOWN LIVE setlist. Although she hasn’t revealed any specific songs, today she announced that 2008–2009 live will be titled “PREMIUM COUNTDOWN LIVE” and feature an unprecedented 30 songs over 3 and a half hours.

GREEN/Days First Press Revision

When the single was first announced on Ayu’s official site, it was said that the first press edition of the CD would come with a special picture label printed on the disc itself. This has since been changed to a special long sleeve for the CD+DVD versions similar to the Mirrorcle World single pressing.
GREEN/Days and Days/GREEN is still scheduled to hit stores December 17th with 10th Anniversary “LOVE ~Destiny~ and “TO BE” as b-sides.

Ayu Promoting GREEN/Days and a Mystery New Product

Ayu has updated her Team Ayu blog several times to talk about promoting her new singles and a mystery new product (the only hint she’s given is that it’s not Panasonic or Wieder–the two companies whose ads she appears in most often). This could mean it’s Wacoal or Gem Cerey–a contract she reportedly took over form Koda Kumi this year but we haven’t seen anything from. Or it could be something completely new.

Ayu Conquers a-nation

I usually don’t report on the specifics of Avex compilations, but the new tracklisting for its special a-nation’08～avex ALL CAST SPECIAL LIVE ～ anniversary tour DVD contains a staggering 8 performances by Ayu–more than any other artist! Ayu’s set includes “Mirrorcle World”, “A Song for ××”, “Greatful days”, “fairyland”, “HANABI”, “AUDIENCE” “Boys & Girls”, and “July 1st”.
Additionally, this DVD is available in a special two-disc set that features a documentary about the concert.
